I’m glad to be a part of a church community that cares deeply about the whole world, and is not wrapped up in thinking we exist for ourselves. I’m glad to be a part of a church community that is looking to be holistic in our care for the world, recognizing that speaking the good news about Jesus goes hand in hand with working for justice in the dark places of the world. Here’s what I shared yesterday along that theme.

The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it;
for he founded the seas
and established it on the waters.
