A week ago Sunday, we began a new series in worship. After last fall’s series on “Jesus people practice…”, which tried to flesh out what it looks like in practical terms to follow Jesus, now we want to talk more about how to become a Jesus person. We’ll do it in part by doing what Jesus did. This message is the introduction, inviting us to tell God our need from the Holy Spirit.
With my heart and my mind, I thank you for this message. Humility and fearlessness go together more than I usually think.
One of the spiritual practices I am beginning is to intentionally use the word Holy to modify the word Spirit more often, rather than leave it implied. Something about this post crystallized the importance of this otherwise minor adjustment.
