Advent Caroling Madness VIII

It’s time once again to prepare for Christmas by yelling in ALL CAPS and being infuriated by others’ ridiculous music tastes. It’s time to vote for the best version of a Christmas song!

The original brainstorm was 5 years ago. It works like this: I choose a Christmas song, and you send me your favorite versions of that song (please try to find it on YouTube, so I can link it so all can listen). Then I set up a bracket like March Madness, and we all vote. Winners advance, and we vote again. Rinse and repeat until we get down to one best version of each song. You can post versions (with links) as comments here, or on my Facebook page, or send by email.

This year, I am only able to set up a bracket for one song, so we will find the best version of “God Rest Ye Merry”. Send me your favorite version of the song by 5:00 pm PST on Thursday, December 17. I’ll put out the bracket and give you several days to listen to all the entries and make your votes in round 1 by noon on Sunday, December 20. Then we will vote each day until we crown a winner before we get to Christmas Eve!
