This past weekend, I had the honor of hosting Robin M and Chris M in our home. We’ve developed a virtual friendship over the past year that is now officially a flesh and blood friendship. We’ve eaten together, talked together, worshiped together, and even enjoyed a cool pool on a hot day together.
We are now friends as well as Friends, and I am so grateful for the opportunity to have a connection with two unprogrammed Friends in which we can discuss life with Jesus as we follow God together. I’ll write more later, but for now, this is a public “thank you” to Robin and Chris for taking the risk to visit us in Newberg and join us for worship. I’m richer because of it.
We managed to have a bloggers’ get together out at Tilikum. From left to right: AJ, Peggy, Kathy, Chris, Robin, and me. (Photo credit: Talli Koskela)
Great picture, Talli!
Thank you to both of you for hosting us this weekend. Another important stop on the journey.
Robin M.
Oh and how I wish it could have been a seven blogger snapshot! I bet that picnic table saw some good fellowship that day.
Your still-virtual Friend Martin
Heck, I wish it could have been an eight blogger snapshot… or twelve… or…. Well, I am simply green with envy, regardless of whether or not envy is a suitable trait for a Quaker to embody.
Glad it was such a great time.
Blessings,
