Too much…

I now have 11 pages, typed, single spaced, of my own thoughts and quotes from books and people about communion. It’s 1:08 in the morning, and I’m too tired to keep pushing on, but I still need more clarity before Sunday. God, work in my spirit and mind and heart even as I sleep.

  1. Greg,

John and I have been SO looking forward to this Communion ‘chat’ all week. We have total faith you will say exactly what needs to be said, in exactly the way GOD wants it said! Who knows, you may not even need those notes afterall! Don’t forget, you aren’t alone up there: God ALWAYS knows what he’s talking about! ha! 🙂

    See ya Sunday!

  2. The Fellowship of the Believers
42They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. 43Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles. 44All the believers were together and had everything in common. 45Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need. 46Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, 47praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

we are the body of Christ
    through Jesus
    we are fed
by the Holy Spirit of God
    and by sharing
this Love (of and from God) with one another
we are to share and relate

    if we remember Christ
    by eating of bread
    and drinking of wine
    this we do
    to remember
    who we are
and who He is in us
    and who we belong to
and what we are to do

    our life in the Spirit
    is life lived out together
    with God
    we share Christ
    in us and through us
    with others

just a few thoughts that are jumblling around in my brain.

it woud be interesting to read the eleven pages.
there have got to be a lot of interesting thoughts that are probably not ment to be one answer but many answers. it is amazing to me that the word is living and that it speaks into life. how by the Spirit it is living and moving and lives in life that is not still. how no one can capture the Spirit or the word and make it something that does not move of itself. just like the bread and wine…it is consumed and it is turned into a power for movement and life.

  3. Thanks Abbie! It’s a good reminder for me to trust Jesus. And almost all of that eleven pages got set aside for tomorrow.

Thanks Nancy, for your thoughts, and I might take you up on the idea. I might post parts of that 11 pages on the blog.

And Robin, I think you might be right. At least some more blog posts! Too much isn’t right for our worship gathering, but needs to be said and discussed somewhere.
